Finding a way to lose leg fat is probably the hardest of all diets needs. I have been stuck at the same size for probably 15 years or more (oh alright 25…) and found it impossible to budge. I suppose men dont usually care as much as woman (is that true?) but I wanted to wear styled pants and a ‘helpful’ young assistant once told me I didnt have the ‘right shaped thighs’ for them.

You just have to laugh at the constant swings in fad ways how to lose thigh fat which start off telling us to eat little and often and then tell us that is wrong and we should go back to 3 meals a day.  Or eat tons of protein and then that protein is really bad for us.

Lose body fat without starving or drugs

In looking into how to lose leg fat, I read an article where someone said:

“When I eat too many calories, how do they know to go straight to my thighs? Do they have some kind of homing device or what?”
This is both funny and a little sad because it is true that fat does seem to be stored in a particular place on most of us.  For some, like me mostly, it is the belly before the thighs but others can be seen to bulge in other parts – which I don’t really want to go into!

How the body burns fat

The body is designed to use energy in different forms and we have learned from extensive studies that different forms of exercise use different forms of energy. The two main sources of energy are fat and carbs and the body uses these differently.
Put simply, carbs can be broken down quickly and so the body uses these for motions that need energy fast. Short bursts of exercise will use the carbs and not touch the fat which would take too long to break down. Conversely, long slow exercise causes the loss of body fat.

The famous phrase ‘eat less and move more to lose weight’ is accurate and true but if we specifically have an issue with fat then the experts are clear that we need to not only move more but try to change our lifestyle to do less strenuous exercise throughout the day rather than short burst trips to the Gym.

Lose leg fat with my recommended diet solution

There are so many thousands of diet programs to help us lose leg fat but it is an almost impossible task to find one that truly burns off fat from stubborn areas.

Some of us find that low calorie, low fat, high protein and excessive exercise just do not touch the thighs.

I also have a principle of not taking drugs or even supplements so that greatly restricts the number of diet programs I can join.
